Cycle India 2008 team
There are so many people to thank for their assistance in Cycle India 2008:
The cyclists:
Martin Church and Lindsay Church – thanks for bringing the silly shorts along
John Goldie – made friends with all the local children!
Ian Fulton & Terry Fulton – fantastic fundraising effort, and your report is a great read
Debra Martin & Marion Austin – kept us all entertained throughout!
Susan Church – thanks for taking part and great endurance
Nimesh Ruparellia – kept cycling even with a badly swollen ankle
Graham Dean & Janet Dean – also brought the silly cycle shorts – very entertaining!
Mario D’Andrea – one of Heal’s trustees and enjoyed the event.
Debra Arthur & Brenda Willson – didn’t know the rest of the bunch, but fit straight in!
Pat Barnes – didn’t know anybody else in the party, and was very brave to join us!
Dr Mike Henchy – thanks for the exercise routines – invaluable!
Tim Knighton – kept us entertained with quick sense of humour
Matthew Glover – stressed out throughout, but had a great time.
Dr Prasad – our founder, and surprisingly fit!
Dr Usha Koneru – quietly went about the cycling and offering support.
Srinivas Gummadi – joined for the cycling, but cheated with a racing bike!
Adhvaith Bongu – completely chilled out throughout
We were also joined by various Indian cyclists and we would particularly like to thank Prasada Rao, Anita and Haritha for all the cultural knowledge you shared with us, and Nitin for enthusiastically filming the entire event (we look forward to seeing your forthcoming documentary).
Dr Ragu Sarvepalli - joined us on the final day of cycling and for helping raise funds in the US.
Non Cyclists
Carl Brodie - our Chairman, enjoyed the event despite being under the weather
Kirsty Brodie – came along for the ride, then stayed at the Children’s Village for a month
Elspeth D’Andrea – was there as support for all the riders.
Fabio D’Andrea – always seemed to be in the right place with his camera and camcorder
